Follow the steps below to replace a ceiling fan.

1. Head over to the fuse box and turn the power off to the fan.
2. Ensure the power is off before working on the fan.
3. Remove the canopy that protects the wires.
4. After removing the canopy, the wires will be exposed. Undo the wires until the old fixture wires are separated from the wall wires.
5. Take down the fan and put the new fan together on the floor.
6. Install the new bracket on the ceiling and hang the new fan from the bracket.
7. Wire the new fan and hang the down rod to install the fan blades.
8. Once the down rod is in place, secure the canopy to the ceiling and place the blades and lights on the fan.
