How to connect LED Tape Lights?

There are two options to connect your LED tape lights. One way to connect them is to use an LED strip connector. For this option, align the copper connections from the tape light to the metal connectors in the strip connector. Once you connect one of the tape lights to the strip connector, click it in place and repeat the same steps for the next tape light.

Another way to connect them is to solder the two pieces together. If you use this option, make sure to keep the copper connections separated. While soldering is an option, it should only take place if you cannot do the next option. Only consider soldering if using an LED strip connector is not an option.

Are LED Tape Lights cuttable?

Yes, LED tape lights are cuttable. However, before cutting an LED tape light, ensure it is cuttable. LED tape lights that are cuttable will have scissor markings on them signifying that you can cut them. Make sure to cut within these markings so you do not damage the tape light. Tape lights that are cut incorrectly can lead to damage, broken electrical currents, and flickering of the light.

LED tape lights that are not cuttable are typically ones that produce higher voltages or are specific types. If these specific tape lights are cut, it could damage or cause a malfunction.
