Can the Dimplex XLF50 run on 120V and 240V power?
Yes. The XLF50 supports both 120V and 240V hardwired connections. At 120V, it delivers 1,500 watts (5,118 BTU). At 240V, it boosts output to 2,500 watts (8,530 BTU) for faster, stronger heating in larger rooms.
Does this fireplace actually heat a room or is it just for looks?
It does both. The built-in ceramic heater can warm up to 1,000 square feet, making it ideal for living rooms, basements, and open spaces. You can also run the flame effect without heat for year-round ambiance.
What wall framing is required for recessed installation?
The XLF50 is designed for 2x6 wall framing out of the box. It can also fit 2x4 framing when paired with the optional trim kit, making it flexible for new builds and retrofit projects.
