Does the Cadet UC101W require a thermostat to operate?
Yes. This heater will not run without a thermostat. You can use a Cadet single-pole or double-pole built-in thermostat kit, sold separately. This lets you control temperature from 40°F to 85°F for better comfort and energy control.
Where can I install this toe-kick heater safely?
Install it horizontally under cabinets in kitchens, bathrooms, or stairwells. UL guidelines require at least 6 inches from corners and adjacent surfaces and 3 feet of clearance in front. Cadet does not recommend installing it under sinks where people may stand directly in front of the airflow.
What electrical circuit does this heater need?
The UC101W runs on a 120V circuit and draws 8.3 amps at 1000W. It must be hardwired and installed by a qualified electrician to maintain safety and warranty coverage.
