Does the Cadet UC101B require a thermostat to operate?
Yes. This heater will not run without a thermostat. You can use a built-in Cadet toe-kick thermostat kit or a standard wall thermostat, both sold separately, to control power and room temperature.
Where should this toe-kick heater be installed?
It’s designed to mount horizontally under cabinets in kitchens, bathrooms, stairwells, and similar tight spaces. Cadet does not recommend installing directly under sinks where someone may stand for long periods because the hot air exhaust is at floor level.
What clearances are required for safe installation?
Maintain at least 6 inches from adjacent surfaces and 3 feet of open space in front of the heater for proper airflow and safety. This model is not approved for vertical or ceiling installation.
