What is a MR bulb?
An MR (Multifaceted Reflector) bulb projects light to one focal point. Due to their small size, LED MR bulbs find use in recessed lighting fixtures, track lighting, display lighting, and emergency lighting.

Beam angle describes the spread of the light from a bulb. Angles vary from narrow spot angles to wide flood angles.

What does the number after “MR” indicate?
The number after “MR” indicates the diameter of the bulb in 1/8 of an inch.
- An MR11 measures 1.375 inches in diameter.
- An MR16 measures 2 inches in diameter.
MR11 bulbs commonly use GU4 bases which have 4mm between pins.
MR16 bulbs commonly use GU5.3 bases which have 5.3mm between pins.
What color temperature do I need?
Color temperatures range from warm white to cool white lighting.
