Klein Tools Communications Cable Cutter has jaws forged from tool steel with black-oxide finish for added durability. The tool features a lightweight, yet efficient shear-type cable cutter design. Replaceable hook-jaw blades grab and hold cables while the shear-cutting action makes clean cuts. The exceptionally strong fiberglass handles are coated with heavy vinyl grips for comfort and slip resistance. The beveled tips ensure an exact fit between the blades, and the hinge on a rugged bolt with a pin-set nut maintains proper blade tension. The heavy-duty pins in the head serve as blade-stops. not made to cut lead or rubber-covered communication cables. Also not designed for cutting steel or ACSR.
