It has a cutting capacity for soft and medium jaw material that is up to Brinell 300, Rockwell C31 and it's cutting capacity for hard material is up to Brinell 400, Rockwell C42. A 3-point toggle joint multiplies 50 pounds of hand pressure on the handles to up to 4,000 pounds at the cutting jaws. The lockplate reinforcement keeps the jaw in the correct alignment by preventing the jaw bolts from loosening or turning. It features one adjust which realigns the cutting edges. The all-purpose, center-cut jaw is made from forged, alloy tool steel which is suitable for soft, medium, and hard metals.
