Ideal for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, the 1-1/2" Drive Impact Socket w/ 2-9/16" Opening Size is also extremely efficient on fasteners constructed out of soft materials. The special TorquePlus internal design of this impact socket is a high performance drive configuration which allows efficient socket engagement to fastener flats, rather than the corners. Slippage is minimized with the TorquePlus, as it has a radius-corner design, which shifts the contact area away from the fastener corners and distributes the stresses over a large area of the socket. The TorquePlus design also extends the life of the fastener, and allows user to easily turn any worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
