Tapes are tough, polyvinyl chloride-based with special high tack adhesives that are created to resist corrosion of metal piping systems above and below ground. They are resistant to a number of different things, such as salt water, soil acids, alkalies and salts, common chemicals, and much more. Impact resistant tape is also highly conformable and able to withstand a wide temperature range. Both Tape 50 & 51 have high electrical strength and excellent insulating properties.
