What is a drum fan?
A drum fan, sometimes called a barrel fan, works in light industrial locations or larger rooms to move a substantial volume of air. King Electric offers high velocity drum fans with aerodynamically balanced fan blades to provide even, steady air flow.
What is direct drive?
In direct drive fans, the motor connects to the fan blades using a shaft or fan axle. The fan blades then rotate at the same speed as the motor. These types of fans typically waste less energy as they reduce the amount of friction. This leads to less maintenance costs.
What is belt drive?
In belt drive fans, the motor connects to the fan blades using at least one belt. They require more maintenance than direct drive fans since they generate more friction.
