ETi Street Area Light

Street area lights are outdoor light fixtures that give uniform illumination over a wide area. Street area lights provide diffused light that spreads evenly along streets, pathways, and outdoor spaces.

There are different types of area lights that define the specific light distribution and shapes of the light. The area light types are:

• Type I: Type 1 area lighting has a very narrow, bi-directional light beam. These area lights normally have an oval shape and are ideal for walkways, pathways, and sidewalks. This means the lights require less power than other area lights. Since the lights use less power, they have a light degree range between 10 and 18.
• Type II: Type 2 area lights have a wider light distribution than Type 1. These lights are better for long and narrow lighting. They typically have a beam angle of 25 degrees. They are also shaped in oval form.
• Type III: Type 3 area lights are broad enough that they are used outdoors. Type 3s use a V-shaped, 40 degrees beam angle. Install Type 3 area lights on the edge of what is being illuminated for the best results.
• Type IV: Type 4 area lights use a rounded forward throw light pattern distribution. Type 4 area lights are great for security lighting on building exteriors and installation perimeters. They typically have a beam angle range between 46 70 degrees.
• Type V: Type 5 area lights have a full 360-degree pattern. They can also be used in a square pattern. They are great for providing a symmetrical light distribution, making them perfect for large parking lots, intersections, and industrial plazas.
