What is a sealing cap?
Sealing caps often seal unused connectors. Ericson offers sealing caps that work with many of their specified wiring devices, including their Perma-Tite and Perma-Kleen connectors. Their connector sealing cap options seal out water, dust, and debris to protect the blades when not in use.
Their sealing caps may work with two types of Ericson wire connectors:
Their Perma-Tite wire connectors feature resistance to high-pressure hose down of 1,500 psi. The body of these wire connectors feature a PBT construction which offers high resistance to moisture absorption, high voltage arcing, and carbon tracking.
Their Perma-Kleen wire connectors consist of a design which inhibits the growth of bacteria, molds, mildews, and fungi. These connectors also contain antimicrobial additives embedded in polymer which resists scuffing and cleaning.
What is a plug boot for connectors?
Plug boots and connector boots may protect cord connectors from damage. They may also insulate them against the elements. Weatherproof options may protect cord-connected devices from other damage. Ericson offers a commercial grade plug boot cover. It uses an exclusive sealing collar that provides maximum moisture protection between cord sets.
