Is the Steinel DT WLS DIM-W an occupancy or vacancy sensor?
It is a vacancy sensor by default, meaning lights must be turned on manually and will turn off automatically when the space is vacant. This helps reduce energy waste and supports energy code compliance.
What types of lighting loads can this sensor control?
It supports LED and CFL drivers with 0–10V dimming, as well as tungsten, magnetic, and electronic ballast loads. Maximum ratings are 800W for incandescent/ballast and 600W for LED/CFL.
Can multiple sensors be used together in one space?
Yes. Steinel’s Switch Link communication allows up to four sensors to be grouped, expanding coverage and enabling multi-way control in larger rooms.
