What are pedestal convection baseboard heaters used for?

Most commercial convection heaters can be floor mounted, depending on the type of floor. However, some floors require free-standing baseboard heaters, away from walls or floor to ceiling windows. Recessed floors, for example, could use pedestal heaters since mounting them to the floor is not an option. Pedestal legs for a baseboard heater are commonly found in:

  • Foyers
  • Lobbies
  • Stairwells
  • Reception areas
  • Hotel rooms

How do I wire a pedestal convection baseboard heater?

Pedestal legs can be mounted to pretty much any convection baseboard heater. When rewiring these heaters, the electrical wires should be attached through the adjustable pedestal legs. They are especially ideal for wall areas with floor to ceiling glass or windows.
