How to clean an Air Exchanger Filter?
Before cleaning your filter, ensure they are marked “washable.” While most filters can be cleaned, some are designed to be used once and should not be cleaned. If the filters are “washable” then you can clean them.
To clean an air exchange filter, remove the filter and wash it with soap and warm water. Make sure to wash the filters thoroughly and then let them dry before placing them back in the air exchanger.
How often to change Air Exchanger Filter?
When using an air exchanger, it is recommended to change the filter at least once every three months. However, filters should be checked once a month if they are placed near a busy street or polluted areas. If you believe the filter is heavily impacted by pollution, you should check the condition of the filter before the three-month period.
