There are many differences between LED filament and incandescent bulbs. One of the main differences is energy consumption. LED filament bulbs conserve about 90 percent of electricity compared to incandescent bulbs. This is mostly due to incandescent bulbs converting 10 percent of energy into light and the rest into heat.
Another difference is the lifespan of the bulbs. LED bulbs in general can last up to 25,000 hours while incandescent bulbs can last about 2,000 hours.
LED Filament bulbs are also environmentally friendly because they do not contain mercury or other harmful chemicals. Additionally, incandescent bulbs use much more energy and add greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.
Over time, LED Filament bulbs can get hot. However, they will not get hot enough to burn the user. After some hours, the hottest LED Filament bulb can get is around 90 degrees Fahrenheit. This means that LED Filament bulbs are perfect for smaller spaces or rooms.
