Craftmade LED Wall Sconce

An LED Wall Sconce is an LED light fixture that is mounted to the wall. Wall sconces are usually small in size and range in different types and styles. The benefit of wall sconces is that they do not take up floor space and are easier to access than ceiling-mounted lighting. Wall sconces also direct their light upward to the ceiling.

How high you hang your wall sconce depends on the location where you want to put the wall sconce. Below are the heights for the different locations.

• Living Rooms, Entryways, and Hallways: Sconces should be installed between 60 and 72 inches from the floor to the center of the junction box. If you are using more than one sconce, have at least 6 feet between them and 8 to 10 in larger rooms. Keep them 6 inches from the door and windows.
• Kitchens: Sconces above the kitchen window should be about 6 inches from the top of the frame. If the sconce is not going above a window or open shelf, measure 60 inches from the floor or 24 inches from the countertop.
• Bedrooms: For bedrooms, sconces should be measured by sitting on the bed and measuring a few inches above your shoulder. You can choose whether to center the sconce or not.
• Bathroom: If you want to put the sconce on the side of the bathroom mirror, you should place them 60 to 65 inches from the floor. If you install above the mirror, measure the sconce about 75 to 80 inches from the floor.
