When should I use a socket screw, or an Allen wrench?

Allen wrenches and socket screws should be used in situations where head height is an issue. The wrenches are much shorter than regular wrenches, so these screws and wrenches can be used where normal screwdrivers and screws cannot.

What are the benefits of fold-up hex keys?

Fold-up hex keys, in addition to providing multiple head sizes in a compact tool, also provide more torque than traditional hex wrenches.
