The Mirror published an article on Tuesday about "biohackers" implanting LED lights under their skin to illuminate their tattoos. The lights are activated by magnets and while they are only used to show off some of their ink now, tech experts see LED lights being used to operate smartphone devices through programmable motions.
The team at HomElectrical thought this was really interesting and we wanted to scrap together a list of the most interesting or creative ways people are using LED technology. Thanks for reading!
Intersting Uses For LEDs
1. "Enchanted Ceiling"
In the Harry Potter series, we were introduced to ceilings that were enchanted to look like the sky outside. Now, that magic is becoming a reality with LED Virtual Sky Panels. These LED lights mimic the sky outdoors and they can be programmed to display several different weather conditions depending on the climate, season, and particular weather for that day.
2. LED Wallpaper
One of the most difficult things to do as a homeowner is painting a room in your house. You have to decide on a color, decide on the style or pattern that you want to follow, and you have to see if the paint goes well with the furniture in the room. Now, instead of that headache, install LED Wall Paper instead of choosing a color. The wallpaper is powered by small, efficient LED bulbs and can literally brighten up any room in your home. LED Wall Paper can change depending on the mood of the room. The possibilities are endless!
3. Glow in the Dark Bench
Want to add a little creative touch to your garden or patio? Why not check out the cool Light Bench? The bench (or multiple benches) can be set to a specific color or adjusted to seamlessly flow between multiple colors and hues on an automatic timer or remote control. The Light Bench can be a great outdoor decor piece and a conversation starter between guests. City parks across Europe have started looking into installing these within the next few years.
4. LED Eyelashes
Why not stand out at the next party or job interview (probably a bad idea)? One easy way to do this is by wearing LED Eyelashes. These tiny LED bulb are powered by solar energy and can last up to 24 hours. The technology is quite amazing! Are they practical? Probably not. But look how cool they are! They will certainly get attention! TheRight now they are in testing phase but soon the public will be able to purchase this illuminated makeup accessory.
