The customizable Special Image Surface- mounted Hand Dryer uses an infrared optical sensor in order to control activation, making it an automatic dryer. As long as hands are placed underneath the dryer, the hand dryer will continue to function. A lockout feature is also included in the design of the automatic hand dryer to stop use if hands are not moved within a 35 second time frame. An automatic resetting thermostat provides protection of heating elements. With a thermally protected motor, the Automatic Surface-mounted Hand Dryer lessens hand drying speed from 30 seconds to 10-15 seconds.
